We think Bryanna is one of the most gifted and inventive vegan cooks to be found on the Internet. Her recipes are painstakingly created with many trails and improvements made along the way.

We really enjoyed her “Southern-Fried ” Tofu recipe. Although, I did change one thing. Growing up in the South, our “Southern-Fried” always had a corn flake crust, so I did crumble up some cornflakes and the same spices as in the “flour” dredge that Bryanna created. I had enough of the flour and corn flakes and “sour’milk” left over after breading the tofu, that, when a bit more soy milk was added, I could create a wonderful “pan gravy”. It really did taste like the traditional “Southern-Fried” meals that I used to enjoy. We served it with mash potatoes, also quite traditional and had lovely Brussels sprouts too. This recipe is a bit involved, it’s not difficult and well worth the effort.

The recipe has been published in her book Soyfoods Cooking for a Positive Menopause.
